This camp is a must for any player who is serious about improving their game, specific to their positional demands as a Defence or a Forward. The camp will be a fun and effective environment! The groups will have both D and F on the ice together but will be split up for most of each session. The specific skill development will touch on the below points and more!
D: Focused work targeting point play and D specific skills — shooting from the point, blue-line work, creating offence, puck retrievals, specific passing, breakouts scenarios, board play, puck protection, deception, reads and outlet choices, edgework and transitions, hockey IQ development, and much more.
F: Game transferable skill sessions and drills emphasizing offensive effectiveness and playmaking — shooting with varied releases, manoeuvres and deceptive moves to create space, passing variations for game like situations and efficiency, puck protection under pressure, rim pickups, edgework, hockey IQ through small area games, and much more.
Each group will get 4 days of 1.25 hour sessions equaling 5 total hours of development. Full schedule is below!
